The joints start to bend and deform, and the fingers get crooked. These misshapen joints press on the nerves, causing nerve pain.

Stage 4: Joints Become Fused

The disease could progress to the last stage if not treated. At this stage, almost no joint remains, as the joint will essentially be fused.
